Apr 21, 2026Great Features, But a Steep Price and Painfully Slow
Adobe Audition has the most powerful audio restoration tools I've tried, but the subscription cost is outrageous for a hobbyist podcaster. The interface is cluttered and feels sluggish, making simple edits take too long. I constantly run into performance hiccups on my modern computer, which makes the whole experience frustrating.

Apr 21, 2026Powerful but Overwhelming for Casual Users
Adobe Audition is a beast for audio editing and restorationβit does things no other software can, especially for cleaning up noisy recordings. However, the learning curve is incredibly steep, and the subscription model feels expensive if you're just an occasional podcaster or hobbyist. It's clearly built for professionals, which makes it feel bloated for simpler tasks.

Apr 19, 2026Powerful but Overwhelming for Casual Users
Adobe Audition is an incredibly deep tool with amazing restoration and mastering features that pros swear by. However, the sheer number of options and the complexity of the interface make it a steep climb for hobbyists or those just starting in audio editing. It feels like you need to take a course just to get the basics done, which is frustrating when simpler tools get you 80% of the way there much faster. You get a lot for your subscription, but it's hard to justify the monthly cost if you're not using its full power.

Apr 19, 2026The Podcast Producer's Swiss Army Knife
As someone who produces a weekly podcast, Adobe Audition has been a game-changer for my workflow. The spectral frequency display is a lifesaver for cleaning up mouth clicks and background noise, making my interviews sound crisp and professional. Having the full suite of tools for noise reduction, mixing, and multitrack editing in one package streamlines my entire production process. While the depth can be overwhelming at first, the learning curve is absolutely worth it for the results.

Apr 17, 2026A Powerhouse for Audio Professionals
As a podcast producer, Adobe Audition has become the backbone of my workflow. The spectral frequency display is a game-changer for cleaning up interviews, allowing me to remove background noises and mouth clicks with surgical precision. While the interface has a learning curve, its power for multitrack editing, applying effects, and mastering final mixes is unmatched in my experience.

Apr 12, 2026Powerful but Overwhelming for Casual Users
Adobe Audition is incredibly powerful for professional audio work, with top-notch restoration tools and seamless integration with other Adobe apps. However, the steep learning curve and subscription-only pricing make it a tough sell for hobbyists or occasional podcasters like me. It runs smoothly on my system, but I often find myself watching tutorials just to perform basic edits.

Apr 09, 2026Powerhouse for Podcasts, but a Learning Curve
Adobe Audition has become the heart of my podcast production workflow. The spectral editing and noise reduction features are absolute game-changers for cleaning up audio interviews, and the multi-track editing is incredibly flexible. While it has a steep learning curve that may overwhelm complete beginners, once you understand the layout and key tools, it becomes a very efficient and powerful tool for crafting professional-sounding audio. The integration with the Adobe ecosystem is a huge plus for my workflow, allowing for smooth transitions from editing to final production.

Apr 06, 2026Powerful but Overkill and Expensive for Casual Users
Adobe Audition has an incredible set of tools for editing, mixing, and audio restoration, and it integrates beautifully with other Adobe apps. However, for my simple podcast editing needs, it's total overkill. The interface is a beast to learn, and the performance can be sluggish on my mid-tier laptop. While the spectral frequency display for noise reduction is top-notch, it's expensive for what I need.

Apr 05, 2026Frustratingly Powerful, Maddeningly Buggy
As a professional podcaster, I rely on Adobe Audition for its powerful noise reduction and excellent spectral editing. When it works, it's phenomenal, and the workflow is decent for multitrack podcast editing. However, the constant, unpredictable crashes on my fully-spec'd 2023 MacBook Pro are a dealbreaker. Auto-save has saved me more times than I can count because the software just freezes or quits unexpectedly. It's a shame because the features are top-notch and the results can be incredible, but the instability makes it feel like a beta product I'm paying a premium to beta test.

Mar 26, 2026Powerful but infuriatingly complex and unstable
Audition has every feature you could want for professional audio work, but the learning curve is brutal even for someone with DAW experience. It constantly crashes during large projects, losing unsaved edits, and the subscription model feels predatory for how unreliable it can be. For the price, I expected a much more stable and user-friendly experience.
