What is Animal trail?

Animal trail is an educational computer game designed for children ages 8-12 to learn about animal habitats, diets, and tracks. Players take on the role of a junior park ranger tasked with photographing animals in their natural habitats.

The game features four different environments to explore including forest, desert, wetlands, and arctic tundra. As players navigate through each area, they follow animal tracks and answer habitat-related questions to earn points. Correct answers allow further progression along the animal's trail, while wrong answers prompt additional learning opportunities.

When players finally catch up to the animal, they are able to take photographic evidence of it in its habitat. The game teaches animal diets, preferred surroundings, and identification of tracks. With over 100 animals featured, the game allows kids to explore and learn at their own pace while being engaged in an interactive adventure.

Animal trail combines learning about science and nature with problem-solving skills and creativity. Tracking activities improve visual recognition abilities while habitat questions test retention and comprehension. The range of biomes and animals featured provides exposure to a wide range of environmental concepts.
