I wanted to like Apple News for its clean design and promise of personalized content, but it's been a letdown. The curation often feels off, showing me irrelevant stories while hiding topics I've explicitly followed. The app also crashes periodically on my iPhone, and the 'For You' tab seems to get stuck refreshing. For a built-in app, I expected better reliability.

The app also feels locked down, as I can't add my favorite news blogs or sites that aren't official partners.

Apple News does an excellent job of curating and personalizing news from a wide variety of sources, and the magazine layout is beautiful. However, I find it incredibly frustrating that I can't follow links to a publisher's website directly within the app; it always forces me to open Safari. Also, while the 'News+' subscription has great magazines, I wish more local and smaller news outlets were included in the premium tier.
