What is Audiosurf?

Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer video game created by Dylan Fitterer. The game uses your own music library to generate a race track based on the audio waves and rhythms of the chosen song. As the song plays, colored blocks rain down the track in sync with the music. The player navigates a levitating spaceship along this track, collecting the blocks in clusters of the same color while avoiding gray blocks.

Gameplay is simple - using the left and right mouse buttons or keyboard arrows, you steer your ship to collect colored blocks while avoiding obstacles. But the magic is in how each song's unique sonic landscape shapes the track and intensity of the experience. Audiosurf cleverly analyzes the amplitude, pitch, and rhythm of each track, responding with engaging races full of peaks, valleys, tricky curves, and smooth straights that match the song's mood and structure. With an extensive built-in library of unlockable vehicles and characters, Audiosurf offers unlimited replay value as you experience your music collection in a whole new interactive way.
