Simple, effective cooling for my old laptop

After a frustrating period of my laptop's fan sounding like it was about to take off, I downloaded Camomile. I was skeptical, but it actually made a noticeable difference. My laptop is noticeably quieter during long work sessions, and I'm not hearing the fan constantly ramping up. The interface is incredibly simple, but I do wish there were more detailed controls. A simple tool with a simple mission, but your mileage may vary

Camomile's concept is great in theory. I've been using it for about a month to try and keep my older laptop from turning into a hair dryer during video calls. It definitely helps slightly lower the background hum of my system. However, the cooling effect is subtle, and I haven't noticed any real-world performance gains or battery savings that blow me away. It's a decent, simple tool for basic temp throttling, but it doesn't feel like the wonder-cure the marketing hints at.

Camomile Did More Harm Than Good for My System

I installed Camomile hoping it would help manage my laptop's overheating issues, but instead it caused noticeable system instability. The app frequently froze my computer during basic tasks, and I didn't notice any meaningful temperature reduction.
