Apr 07, 2026Shockingly Good for a Free App
I've been using CapCut for my social media clips, and it's genuinely impressive. The auto-captions and text-to-speech features are total game-changers for making my videos more accessible and professional-looking. I was able to edit a vacation video with smooth transitions and some cool effects in minutes, without watching a single tutorial. The interface is so intuitive, it almost feels like the app knows what you want to create before you do. Iβve tried more 'pro' software that was far more complicated and way less fun to use.

Apr 07, 2026Surprisingly powerful for a free app!
As someone who creates content for social media, CapCut has become my go-to editing tool. The intuitive interface makes trimming and adding transitions effortless, while the library of effects, stickers, and text animations is extensive and constantly updated. Export quality is excellent, and I've made videos that look professionally edited in just a few minutes.

Apr 06, 2026Powerful but with a learning curve and some quirks
CapCut is incredibly powerful and easy to start with, but some advanced features can be confusing for a complete beginner. The sheer number of templates, effects, and controls is amazing for a free app. However, I've had a few crashes on my older phone, and some export settings can be confusing to find. Still, it's the best free editor I've found.

Apr 05, 2026Surprisingly powerful and completely free!
As someone who edits short clips for social media, CapCut has been a game-changer. The interface is incredibly intuitive, letting me trim, add music, and apply smooth transitions in minutes. The sheer number of trendy effects, filters, and text animations is impressive, and the fact that it's all free with no watermarks feels almost too good to be true. It's my go-to app for creating professional-looking content on my phone.

Apr 04, 2026A Lot of Power, Held Back by Overcomplication and Ads
CapCut is incredibly powerful for a free app. The sheer number of effects, filters, and editing tools is incredible; it feels genuinely professional. I've made some fun, fast-paced videos with it. However, the free version is now absolutely littered with watermarks and ads, which is a huge downside. It can also feel overwhelming and a bit clumsy at timesβthere's a steep learning curve for some of the more advanced features. It's a powerhouse, but you have to work for it and put up with the nagging ads.

Apr 03, 2026Frustrating watermarks and over-the-top AI features
The app has a huge problem with watermarks plastered on unskippable splash screens and forced branding. Every export has a CapCut logo stamped on it unless you pay, which feels cheap. The AI features are cool in theory, but they're gimmicky and unreliable, often making my videos look tacky. The app is laggy on my older phone and crashes when editing longer videos.

Apr 02, 2026A Fantastic Free Video Editor
As someone who creates short clips for social media, CapCut has become my go-to app. It's incredibly user-friendly, with features like keyframe animation, speed controls, and a huge library of trendy effects and transitions. While the free version has a watermark, itβs a small trade-off for a full suite of powerful, professional tools. Iβve completely replaced a few other apps with this one.

Apr 01, 2026Overhyped, Overly Restrictive, and Frustrating
While CapCut is free and has a decent surface-level toolkit, it's incredibly frustrating to use for anything beyond a simple clip. The app constantly freezes and crashes when applying multiple effects or working with longer projects, forcing you to restart and lose progress. The 'free' label feels misleading when so many of the better templates, effects, and export options are locked behind a paywall or constant ads.

Mar 30, 2026Surprisingly powerful and completely free!
As a casual content creator, CapCut has been a game-changer for my social media videos. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to trim clips, add smooth transitions, and layer on text or trendy effects in minutes. For a free app, the feature set rivals paid software, allowing me to produce polished, professional-looking content without any prior editing experience.

As someone who edits short videos for my small business, CapCut has been a game-changer. It has all the features I needβsmooth transitions, great filters, and easy text overlaysβwithout being overwhelming. For a free app, the quality of the edits I can produce looks incredibly professional.
