What is Chivalry 2?

Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer first-person slasher set in a fictional medieval setting. Developed by Torn Banner Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive, it is the sequel to the 2012 hit Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

The game features large-scale medieval battles with up to 64 players fighting at once across a variety of multiplayer game modes. Players choose from one of four classes - Knight, Vanguard, Footman, or Archer - each with their own weapons, equipment, and play styles. Weapons consist of medieval blade and blunt weapons like swords, axes, maces, spears, and bows.

Combat puts an emphasis on skill through directional attacking, blocking, and dodging. Players can engage in duels or chaotic large battles across a selection of siege, team objectives, and free-for-all based game modes. Maps are set in medieval locales like castles, villages, canyons and more.

Additional gameplay elements include character customization, mounted combat, battle cries, and destructible environments. The game aims to provide a skillful medieval combat experience while keeping the setting lighthearted and accessible.
