Cytus: Rhythm Game for iOS & Android

Cytus rhythm game features 200+ songs, customizable beatmaps, and touchscreen tapping gameplay for iOS and Android devices.

What is Cytus?

Cytus is a mobile rhythm game originally developed and published by Taiwanese game developer Rayark in 2012 for iOS devices. An Android version was later released in 2013. Cytus became highly popular thanks to its stylish visuals, excellent song library spanning multiple genres, and engaging gameplay.

In Cytus, the screen shows a timing line and notes appear from the top of the screen, which players must tap in time to the music. The game features over 200 songs ranging from pop and rock to electronic, jazz, and more by both famous artists and independent composers. Easy, Hard, and Unlimited difficulty levels give players plenty of challenge as they advance.

A defining feature of Cytus is its unique, modern art style with a clean black, white and red color scheme. The visuals pulse and change based on the song. This dynamic animation syncs perfectly with every beat of the music. Combined with a large song library and customizable playlists and skins, Cytus provides an audiovisual experience unlike any other rhythm game.

Following Cytus's success, Rayark has released several sequels in the series, including Cytus II in 2018 and Cytus Alpha in 2019. These add hundreds more songs, new note charts, stories, customization options, and social features while retaining the classic Cytus gameplay fans know and love. Over a decade after launch, Cytus continues going strong with an active community and millions of players worldwide.
