Geneforge is a series of story-driven fantasy role-playing video games developed and published by indie studio Spiderweb Software. The series currently consists of five main games released between 2001 and 2009: Geneforge, Geneforge 2, Geneforge 3, Geneforge 4: Rebellion, and Geneforge 5: Overthrow.
The Geneforge games are set in a unique fantasy world where genetic engineering, known as "Shaping", is used to create new creatures and tools. The Shapers are an elite caste that jealously guard their knowledge and experiment in secret enclaves called Geneforges.
