What is Hamsterball?

Hamsterball is an open-source clone of the classic arcade game Marble Madness. In Hamsterball, the player guides a hamster enclosed in a clear plastic ball through hazardous levels consisting of platforms, ramps, obstacles, enemies, and powerups.

Gameplay is simple - using the keyboard or gamepad, the player tilts the level in different directions to roll the hamster ball towards the goal at the end of each stage. Along the way various items can be collected for bonus points. Some levels have enemies that will sap energy or kill the player upon contact, so these must be avoided.

There are over 75 levels included with the game, ranging from beginner to extremely challenging. The graphics are 3D and visually appealing while maintaining a retro charm reminiscent of the original Marble Madness arcade game. The soundtrack features catchy tunes that complement the gameplay nicely.
