What is Heroes & Generals?

Heroes & Generals is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online first-person shooter developed by Reto-Moto and set during the events of World War II. The game allows players to fight for one of three factions - the United States, Germany, or the Soviet Union.

When creating their soldier, players can choose from infantry, pilots, paratroopers, reconnaissance, and tank crew members. As an infantryman, gameplay is similar to other online shooters with a mix of close-quarters combat and longer ranged firefights across various game modes. Pilots participate in aerial dogfights while maneuvering period-accurate planes. Tank crew members work together to operate their armored vehicle and engage enemy tanks. Players earn money and experience points during matches to unlock new weapons, upgrades and specializations for their soldier.

The game features over 200 real-world weapons and vehicles used during World War II. Battles take place on maps set in famous wartime locations spanning the European and North African theaters of war. Game modes include Tactical Assault for traditional team deathmatch style gameplay, Strategical Warfare with evolving frontlines, and Assault operations where one faction attacks strategic targets protected by the enemy.
