Jumanji is a classic board game that transports players into the game itself when rolled. Discover its magical world and challenges, and learn how to escape back to reality.
What is Jumanji?
Jumanji is a fictional supernatural board game featured in the book by Chris Van Allsburg and later adapted into several film versions. When players start the game by rolling the dice, they get magically transported into the jungle world of Jumanji and have to overcome various dangers and obstacles until they reach the end and call out the game's name to escape back to the real world.
In the game, players encounter events like stampedes, monsoons, wild animals, and other jungle perils. Each player selects a playing piece, which represents their in-game avatar and allows them control of that character's rolls and moves. The game is full of surprises both good and bad, ranging from helpful clues to dangerous traps. Players need skill, courage, and luck to finish Jumanji and get out before losing all their lives.
The only way to end the game is for one player to reach the final space and call out 'Jumanji!' If successful, all effects of the game are reversed and players return back home. If unsuccessful, players remain trapped in Jumanji forever. With dangerous new challenges around every dice roll, finishing the game requires teamwork and quick thinking to overcome all the obstacles in their path.
