Promising but painfully complex for small teams
Despite the impressive performance claims, Manticore Search's documentation feels like an afterthought, leaving us constantly digging through GitHub issues and forums. The configuration is extremely complex, and we've spent more time troubleshooting cryptic errors than actually building our search feature. For a small startup without dedicated DevOps, the learning curve was simply too steep and disruptive.
