What is Meja?

Meja is a free, open-source virtual tabletop application designed for players of tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder. It provides a range of features to enhance the online gaming experience, replicating many useful tabletop tools in a virtual format.

The software allows game masters to upload and share interactive maps with customizable fog of war, dynamic lighting, and token vision blocking. Players can move tokens around the map to represent their characters. Meja also includes dice rollers and macros, text and voice chat features, character sheet integration, initiative trackers, and journals to log session notes.

As an open-source project, Meja is community-driven and under active development. Custom CSS can be used to modify themes and layouts. There is also a plugin browser allowing users to extend functionality. Meja aims to make online roleplaying more immersive.
