What is Monster Slayers?

Monster Slayers is a 2D retro-style action RPG developed by Nerdook Productions. The core gameplay involves battling various monsters across different environments like forests, dungeons, deserts, and temples.

Players can choose between 3 character classes - Warrior, Ranger, and Mage. Each class has unique abilities and playstyles. The Warrior relies on brute strength and can equip heavy armor and weapons. The Ranger is agile and can attack from range with bows. The Mage uses elemental magic spells to damage and debilitate foes.

The goal is to battle monsters, gain loot and experience, and gradually become more powerful. Loot can be equipped or sold for gold. Gaining experience levels up your character, granting stat increases and new abilities. The gameplay is simple yet engaging, easy to pick up but with depth from the skills/gear system.

The pixel graphics are reminiscent of old-school SNES era RPGs, providing a strong sense of nostalgia. An atmospheric chiptune soundtrack accentuates the retro vibe. With accessible gameplay and charming audiovisuals, Monster Slayers makes for an enjoyable casual action RPG.
