What is Neighboring?

Neighboring is a social networking and communication platform designed specifically for neighborhoods, building communities, and hyperlocal connections. It brings residents together by giving them a private online space to connect with the people who live closest to them.

On Neighboring, residents can introduce themselves, share news and recommendations, organize neighborhood events and activities, participate in groups and discussions, offer items for sale/free, ask for help or information, and more. It aims to facilitate neighbor-to-neighbor connections both online and offline.

The platform is accessible via web and mobile apps, with a smooth, intuitive interface. Features include newsfeeds, private messaging, event creation/RSVPs, classifieds, annoucements, groups focused on specific topics, neighborhood polls and surveys, and user profiles. There is also a neighborhood map and directory.

Neighboring prioritizes privacy and security. Residents must verify their address to access their neighborhood's private network. All posts are visible only to accepted members living in the same defined geographic area. Moderators help facilitate meaningful interactions.

The service is free for residents. Neighborhood associations and management companies can also utilize a dashboard to engage their communities. Overall, Neighboring brings back the connectivity that once came naturally from living in close proximity, ultimately strengthening neighborhoods.
