What is OK Golf?

OK Golf is a minimalist golf video game developed and published by Sidhe Interactive originally for iOS and Android mobile devices. First announced in May 2015, it was released in October 2015.

With simple one-tap controls, players aim their golf shots by adjusting power and direction on procedurally generated 2D courses. The game features different tournaments to compete in across a variety of game modes including stroke play, match play, skins and four-ball.

The procedural generation ensures no two holes are the same. Players can move up through tours, and currency earned during play can be used to upgrade power and accuracy attributes, or to buy cosmetic items and new clubs. Global leaderboards allow players to compare their scores with other golfers around the world.

Upon release, OK Golf received mixed reviews from critics. While some praised its minimalist take on golf and pick-up-and-play accessibility, others felt it oversimplified core aspects of the sport. Sidhe has continued updating the game since launch, adding new features and refinement.
