What is Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II (PVKII)?

Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II (PVKII) is a free, open-source online multiplayer first-person shooter game originally released in 2005. An updated and improved version called PVKII Redux was released in 2013 with new features and gameplay improvements.

In PVKII, players join one of three teams - pirates, Vikings, or knights. Each team has distinct characters, weapons, and abilities. For example, pirates use flintlock pistols and sabers, Vikings wield battle axes, and knights use swords and shields. There are multiple game modes available including deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag across a variety of maps.
