Postcrossing: Cross Cultural Connections

Join Postcrossing to send and receive postcards from people worldwide, bridging cultural gaps and fostering international connections

What is Postcrossing?

Postcrossing is an innovative online project founded in 2005 that allows its members to send and receive postcards from random people all over the world. It aims to connect people across borders and cultures through the simple joy of receiving real physical mail.

Anyone can sign up for a free account on the Postcrossing website. You will be assigned an ID number and mailing address. When you send a postcard to this address, it will be sent to a random Postcrossing member somewhere in the world, who will then register it online and send a postcard back to you.

As your postcards travel, you can track their progress on an interactive world map. With over 9 million postcards sent by over 750,000 Postcrossing members across 213 countries, there's always more mail to exchange. Members share stories, photos, and create bonds that cross oceans.

Postcrossing fosters community, curiosity, and surprise. In an increasingly digital era, it celebrates meaningful human connection in its simplest tangible form - through a postcard in your mailbox from a stranger who wants to say hello.
