What is Prevx?

Prevx is an anti-malware and computer security software that emphasizes preventative protection against viruses, spyware, rootkits and other malware threats. It was first released in 2006 by Prevx Ltd.

Rather than traditional signature-based detection, Prevx focuses more on behavioral analysis and heuristics to proactively identify suspicious activity that may indicate the presence of malware. It monitors system areas like the boot sector, memory, network stacks and files for anything that resembles malware behavior.
