What is Project Winter?

Project Winter is an 8 player online survival game developed and published by Other Ocean Interactive in 2018. Players are trapped in an abandoned research facility somewhere in Antarctica during a harsh winter, and must work together as a team to gather resources, explore the facility, maintain the heating generators, and ultimately call for rescue.

However, hidden among the group are secret traitors working against the others. Through acts of sabotage, spreading misinformation, and turning others against each other, the traitors aim to ensure no one escapes alive. Players must balance working together while also deducing who can be trusted.

Core gameplay revolves around survival mechanics like maintaining body temperature, hunger, thirst, and stamina by crafting, cooking food, starting fires, and finding protective clothing. Players also explore the large facility looking for clues, keys, weapons, and the means to call for help. Social deduction comes from paying attention to other players' behaviors and statements, voting suspected traitors into exile before it's too late.

With randomly generated maps providing new layouts and challenges each match, and the mystery of hidden traitor identities, Project Winter offers replayable multiplayer survival gameplay that tests both survival skills and social wit.
