The learning curve is much steeper than expected. I constantly find myself accidentally triggering commands or forgetting shortcuts, which interrupts my work rather than speeding it up. For basic app launching, Spotlight feels faster and more intuitive, and I haven't found the automation features compelling enough to justify the daily frustration.
I wanted a simple launcher, but Raycast feels like I need a programming degree just to set it up. The default keyboard shortcuts conflict with my existing workflow, and trying to customize anything requires digging through endless community extensions. For someone who just wants to open apps and search files quickly, it's frustratingly complex and not worth the learning curve.
Raycast is definitely not for me. It feels unnecessarily complex to set up and the keyboard-driven interface is far from intuitive. I constantly find myself forgetting shortcuts or needing to switch back to the mouse, defeating the purpose. For a productivity tool, it's ironically slowing me down.
