What is Sid Meier's Railroads!?

Sid Meier's Railroads! is a business simulation and strategy video game developed by Firaxis Games and published in 2006 by 2K Games as a successor to the popular Railroad Tycoon series. In Railroads!, players take on the role of a railroad executive in charge of building and managing an extensive railroad network across the United States in the early 1800s.

Gameplay focuses heavily on laying train tracks to connect cities and industrial areas to create efficient transportation routes for both passenger and freight trains. Players must build and upgrade stations in cities to handle cargo and passenger loads, manage schedules and inventories, research technology improvements, and purchase more advanced locomotives as their rail empire expands.
