Stashit is an open-source, self-hosted password manager and encrypted personal data vault. It allows users to securely store sensitive information like passwords, documents, photos, and other files protected by one master password.
As an open-source solution, Stashit provides full data ownership and transparency over the code and encryption mechanisms securing your data. Stashit utilizes strong client-side AES-256 bit encryption to protect vault data before it ever leaves your device. The master password and encryption keys never leave your computer.
Stashit has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that makes securely accessing and managing your personal data vault easy. Core features include secure password generation, password capture and auto-fill, attaching files/images to entries, organization with tags and folders, and more. Stashit also has browser extensions for auto-fill functionality.
Being self-hosted, users have complete control over the server location storing encrypted vault data. Stashit can be run on a local computer or privately hosted server for maximal security and data ownership peace of mind.
