What is Teleglitch?

Teleglitch is a top-down roguelike shooter video game developed by Test3 Projects and released in 2013. It features retro pixel art graphics and a dark science fiction setting.

In Teleglitch, the player explores procedurally generated military research facility levels from a top-down perspective, scavenging for weapons, ammunition, and supplies while fighting off dangerous mutants and robots. The gameplay is challenging, with permanent death mechanics requiring the player to start over from the beginning each time they die.

The levels have an atmospheric sci-fi aesthetic with creepy ambient sounds that create a tense and eerie vibe. A variety of weapons can be collected, including pistols, shotguns, rifles, flamethrowers, and more. The player must manage their limited health, hunger, and ammo supplies to survive.

Teleglitch's hardcore gameplay and old school graphics hearken back to classic early 90s shooters. It has received praise from critics for its tight gunplay, scary atmosphere, and high difficulty. Several expansion packs have added new weapons, levels, enemies, and mechanics.
