The Solus Project is an exploration and survival video game set on an alien planet. Players crash land and must gather resources, craft items, manage hunger and health bars, and explore the environment as they try to survive and solve the mystery of the planet's abandoned civilization.
The Solus Project is a first-person single player survival and exploration video game developed by Teotl Studios and Grip Games. It was released in 2016 for PC and Xbox One.
In the game, you play as an astronaut who is part of a mission sent from Earth to colonize the planet Glis, which has environmental conditions similar to Earth and shows signs of an abandoned advanced civilization. However, your spacecraft malfunctions when approaching the planet and you must crash land on the surface.
Now alone on an alien planet, you find yourself struggling to simply survive. The hostile environment includes meteor strikes, dangerous storms with intense wind and lightning, difficult terrain to traverse, aggressive alien lifeforms, and unstable environmental conditions which can trigger earthquakes, cave-ins, and rock slides.
As you explore the remains of the abandoned civilization and various areas on the planet, you must gather resources to craft shelter, tools, weapons, clothing, and other equipment that provide warmth, radiation protection, increased health and stamina, hunger and thirst management, and combat capabilities. Mysteries abound regarding what happened to the previous inhabitants.
With a robust crafting system, challenging survival mechanics, a rich atmospheric environment, and an intriguing narrative, The Solus Project provides a tense, alien world survival simulator as you uncover the secrets of Glis and try to stay alive long enough to find a way home.
