What is Wasted?

Wasted is an online multiplayer survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players spawn with minimal equipment and must scavenge the wasteland for weapons, ammunition, food, water and other supplies while avoiding hazards from the environment, wildlife, and other players.

The core gameplay loops involve looting buildings, making strategic outposts to store gear, and engaging in gunfights and raids both against computer controlled enemies and other players. There is a heavy emphasis on player vs player competitive gameplay with options to play solo or team up with friends.

Players must constantly balance finding better gear to defend themselves versus having enough supplies to survive. The wasteland is a dangerous place filled with hostile bandits, mutants, and wild animals that all pose a constant threat.

Base building allows players to make fortified outposts for storage and defense. Creative base designs can help protect precious loot accumulated over time. Players can also find and restore working vehicles which become valuable resources.

Wasted features both first person and third person camera perspectives. Its system requirements are reasonably modest, allowing it to support hundreds of players per server. There is built-in support for modding, allowing the community to build and share new content.
