What is World's Dawn?

World's Dawn is an indie farming and life simulation role-playing game developed and published by Multiverse. First released in 2016, the game features pixel art graphics and open-ended gameplay focused around restoring an abandoned farm and integrating into a small rural community.

As the new farmer in town, players can grow a variety crops and flowers in their expansive farm fields using an intuitive planting system. They must water and tend to their crops daily while battling weeds, insects, and other hazards. Over a dozen farm animals like chickens, cows, and llamas can be purchased, cared for, and raised for resources. An adjoining river and ocean offer ample fishing spots for everything from common carp to seasonal legendary fish.

Beyond farming, World's Dawn encourages players to participate in village life. Friendships can be built with over 20 unique townspeople by chatting daily, giving thoughtful gifts, and completing requests. Romances can also bloom for eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. The player’s old farmhouse can be upgraded and customized to make it feel like home, using hundreds of furniture and decor combinations. Players can spend their days mining ores, gems, and artifacts in the mountain; foraging for wild ingredients in all seasons; cooking; crafting upgrades and furniture; and more.

With its colorful pixel art, low-pressure gameplay, inclusive NPC characters, and pride flags to display around the farm, World's Dawn offers a welcoming, wholesome experience focused on living off the land and fostering community.
