Zed looked promising with its GitHub integration and split editing, but in practice it feels half-baked. The customization is confusing and the performance on my mid-range laptop was surprisingly sluggish, especially with large projects. For an open-source project it's fine, but I switched back to VS Code because it's just more reliable and actually feels finished.
