AnonyMail: Open Source Email Client for Privacy

Anonymity-focused email client with end-to-end encryption, using anonymous relays to conceal sender identity and ensure secure communication.

What is AnonyMail?

AnonyMail is an open source email application developed specifically for those who value privacy and anonymity in their digital communications. It is designed to prevent surveillance, censorship, and unauthorized access to users' emails through a combination of encryption protocols and anonymous routing.

At the core of AnonyMail is a decentralized, peer-to-peer network of servers that randomly routes encrypted messages between the sender and recipient to obscure the originating IP address. This prevents anyone monitoring network traffic from being able to identify who originally sent an email or where they are located. End-to-end encryption ensures that only the intended recipient can decrypt and read the contents of the email once delivered through this anonymous relay system.

In addition to obscuring IP addresses and encrypting message contents, AnonyMail also allows users to register anonymously without revealing any personally identifiable information. The service utilizes cryptographic addressing based on public keys rather than real email addresses linked to identities. Users have fine-grained control over encryption settings in the app and can choose whether they want partial or full encryption based on the level of privacy they desire.

With its multilayered approach to privacy and security, AnonyMail enables internet users, activists, whistleblowers, and journalists to safely and discreetly exchange information online without fear of surveillance. The decentralized open source codebase also provides transparency into its inner workings, allowing independent security audits to verify its integrity and functionality compared to closed, proprietary email services.
