What is Caves of Qud?

Caves of Qud is a science fantasy roguelike RPG with rich worldbuilding and deep character progression. The game takes place in an ancient world devastated by an apocalypse, with the remnants of ancient civilizations and advanced technologies scattered across the procedurally generated landscape.

As an exile exploring the infinite cave systems underneath the deserts of Qud, players will discover bizarre creatures, factions at war, and hundreds of lore-filled locations. Character builds are extremely flexible, with players mutating their bodies through genetic modifications, cybernetics, or occult artifacts to create unique playstyles.

The open-ended progression system allows tremendous freedom in shaping your character. You can be a hulking mutant wielding duel laser pistols in four arms, an esper with apocalyptic mental powers slowly ascending to godhood, or an agile assassin clone warrior wielding worm-themed martial arts.
