What is Cxbx-Reloaded?

Cxbx-Reloaded is an open source emulator for running original Xbox games on Windows PCs. It utilizes DirectX to emulate Xbox hardware and software to enable playing Xbox games on a PC with higher resolutions and other enhancements.

As an active emulator project with frequent updates, Cxbx-Reloaded is able to run many popular Xbox titles at playable speeds and accuracy. While it is still under development and cannot yet emulate all titles perfectly, compatibility and performance continue to improve with each update.

Key features include:

• Ability to run many original Xbox game discs and titles
• Support for enhancing visuals with higher resolutions, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, etc.
• Save state support for easily resuming progress
• Xbox Live emulation for network and multiplayer capabilities
• Customizable input mapping for using keyboard/mouse, controllers, etc.

As an open source project, Cxbx-Reloaded is being developed by a community of contributors aiming for accurate and complete Xbox emulation. It offers an improving option for revisiting and enhancing classic Xbox gaming experiences on modern PCs.
