Connect team members with one-on-one meetings to foster collaboration, empathy and productivity, all automated by Donut for Slack
Donut for Slack is a bot that encourages more meaningful connections between coworkers. It randomly schedules one-on-one meetings between team members to build working relationships that normally wouldn't happen. By facilitating conversations outside of usual tasks and projects, Donut helps foster empathy, collaboration and productivity.
Here's how it works: Once installed in your Slack workspace, Donut will privately message two random coworkers each week to suggest they meet up. If they accept the prompt, Donut will schedule a 30 minute meeting for them on both their calendars. Donut also provides suggested talking points and reminders ahead of each meeting.
The goal is to replicate the serendipitous encounters that happen naturally in small, close-knit teams. As teams scale, personal connections tend to break down without proactive effort. Donut solves this by randomly pairing coworkers who might not interact otherwise. Over time, the entire team feels more cohesive.
HR leaders, people ops teams and managers can use Donut to improve alignment, empathy and work satisfaction. It's suitable for remote teams, hybrid teams and companies with multiple offices. Donut integrates seamlessly with Slack and Google Calendar.
