What is Drawception?
Drawception is a free online multiplayer drawing and guessing game. It works like an online version of the classic telephone game. Players take turns drawing pictures based on prompts, while the other players in the game try to guess what is being drawn.
At the start of each round, one player is given a random prompt. They then have a limited amount of time to draw a picture that tries to depict that prompt. When they are finished, the picture is revealed to the other players, who each make a guess at what the original prompt was just by looking at the drawing.
Points are awarded based on how close the guessers get to the original prompt. For example, guessing the exact prompt word-for-word would earn more points than a close guess. The better and more recognizable the drawing is, the more likely other players are to guess correctly.
After everyone makes their guess, a new round begins with a different player getting a turn to draw. This cycle continues until the game ends, either after a set number of rounds or when players decide to stop.
Drawception encourages creativity and imagination. Since drawings can be interpreted in different ways, it often leads to funny outcomes. The game moves at a fast pace, so artists don't have to be great technical illustrators. The focus is on quick, goofy doodles that (hopefully) get the point across.
