Drawn To Life

Platform video game series developed by 5th Cell, where players create characters and worlds by drawing on the Nintendo DS touchscreen, with games including Drawn to Life on DS, The Next Chapter on Wii and DS, and SpongeBob SquarePants Edition.

What is Drawn To Life (Series)?

Drawn to Life is a platform video game series developed by 5th Cell and published by THQ. The first game in the series, Drawn to Life, was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007. In Drawn to Life, the player creates their own playable character, the Raposa, and game world by drawing them using the Nintendo DS touchscreen and stylus. The player draws platforms, obstacles, items and more to help guide their character through the game world they created.

The second title in the series, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, was released in 2009 for both the Nintendo DS and Wii. This game expanded on the original by allowing players to create multiple playable characters with different abilities. It also added action-adventure elements and mini games to complement the standard platforming gameplay.

A spinoff title called Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition was also released in 2007 for the DS. This game featured the same draw-your-own-world mechanics but was themed and styled after SpongeBob SquarePants. Players could draw and customize Bikini Bottom locations and characters from the show.

The Drawn to Life games were praised for their unique gameplay concept of letting players draw their own protagonist, levels and more. However, the series went dormant after the second game released in 2009, with no new titles announced since then by publisher THQ or developer 5th Cell.
