What is Dungeon Village?

Dungeon Village is a mobile game developed and published by Kairosoft in 2011. It is a simulation and management game in which the player builds and manages a fantasy village, with the main goal being to attract heroes to come and battle monsters and explore dungeons underneath the town.

In the game, the player starts with an empty plot of land and must build various structures like inns, shops, healing temples, and other buildings to attract heroes and villagers to live in your town. As more heroes move in, they will automatically start battling monsters and exploring randomly-generated dungeons underneath the town.

The gameplay loop involves balancing resources like gold and materials to build new structures, managing villager and hero needs by building new amenities, unlocking new buildings and upgrades, and progressing your town by having heroes defeat monsters and explore deeper into dungeons. There is no end goal, with the core gameplay focusing on growing your village population and prosperity.
