What is Fistful of Frags?

Fistful of Frags is a free, open source first-person shooter multiplayer video game developed by Semi Essential Games and set in the American Old West. The game features a variety of weapons from the era including various pistols, rifles, shotguns, and dynamite, allowing for gunfights and shootouts between players.

Maps are designed around classic Western themes like saloons, canyons, ghost towns, banks and train yards. Gameplay is focused on accomplishing team objectives like capturing control points or transporting a payload across the map while engaging in battles with opposing players. Players can utilize structures and landscapes to take cover or get the drop on enemies.

There are a number of different game modes supporting up to 16 players online, including levels focused on deathmatch, point capture, payload delivery, dueling against a single opponent, and more. Matches reward players for skilled shots and kills. The game emphasizes player movement with the ability to climb, dodge, and perform parkour maneuvers around environments.

Originally released on Steam using Valve's Source game engine, Fistful of Frags has maintained a dedicated cult following within the FPS and Steam communities since its initial launch in 2014. Over the years it has continued to receive updates adding new content and gameplay modifications.
