What is Lob game?

Lob game is a free and open source arcade-style game inspired by classics like Breakout and Arkanoid. Players control a paddle at the bottom of the screen using the mouse or keyboard to bounce a ball up towards rows of blocks along the top.

The objective is to break all the blocks by bouncing the ball against them without allowing the ball to fall off the bottom of the screen. Each block broken scores points. As blocks are cleared, the ball speed increases incrementally to make the game more challenging.

Lob game features simple retro-style graphics and gameplay easy enough for anyone to pick up and play. The free open source code allows advanced users to modify gameplay elements through configurable settings files as well as edit, add, or replace graphics and sounds however they like.

With its classic arcade gameplay and customizable open source code, Lob game makes a fun and free alternative to classic block breakers for Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
