What is Nano Adblocker?

Nano Adblocker is a free and open-source ad blocking extension for Google Chrome, Chromium, and Chromium-based browsers like Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, and Opera. It aims to block ads, trackers, cryptominers, cookie consent notices, newsletter popups, social media buttons and other nuisances that get in the way of web browsing.

Nano Adblocker uses filter lists like EasyList to block unwanted content. It has options to enable additional filter lists for regional ad blocking as well as removing more nuisances like cookie consent notices. The extension settings provide customization options - users can whitelist websites, disable cosmetic filtering if it causes issues on some pages, as well as update filter lists manually.

As an open-source ad blocker, Nano Adblocker places priority on performance and privacy. It does not contact any external servers while browsing and has a very small memory and CPU footprint compared to some other popular ad blockers. The project is hosted on GitHub, allowing user contributions and transparency into the code.
