What is Octodad (Series)?

Octodad is a lighthearted and humorous video game series focused on controlling an octopus masquerading as a suburban father. As the titular Octodad, you must navigate ordinary household chores and tasks while attempting to keep your true cephalopod identity a secret from your family and surroundings.

Gameplay revolves around controlling Octodad's floppy boneless limbs to interact with various objects and navigate environments. However, Octodad's movements tend to be unwieldy and clumsy, leading to plenty of physics-based hijinks as you accidentally make a mess of everything around you. The challenge comes from completing objectives without drawing too much unwanted attention and suspicion.

Spanning two main games (Octodad and Octodad: Dadliest Catch) along with some smaller spin-off titles, the Octodad series delivers silly, family-friendly fun by letting players embody the chaotic experience of an octopus put in preposterous domestic situations. Destructible environments, ragdoll physics, and deft avoidance of detection further accentuate Octodad's chaotic and lighthearted gameplay.
