What is Pathman?

Pathman is an open-source network topology mapping and visualization software. It provides an intuitive graphical interface to map the devices and connections in your network infrastructure.

With Pathman, you can automatically discover devices and draw network maps to visualize the end-to-end flow of traffic across devices. It supports mapping of both physical and logical topologies, across Layer 2 and Layer 3. The automatic topology discovery feature scans your network and detects connections between routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and more.

Once the map is created, you can interact with it to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues visually. Clicking on any device shows details like interface statistics, ARP tables, MAC address tables, and more. Pathman also lets you document devices with photos, configurations, and notes for better management.
