What is Rail Nation?

Rail Nation is a free-to-play browser-based train simulation game developed and published by Travian Games. In Rail Nation, players are put in charge of building and managing their own rail network and train company.

To start, players choose from one of several maps and locales, laying down tracks, building stations, setting up rail lines, buying and customizing trains, and establishing transport and delivery routes. As the rail network grows, players can take on transport contracts, import and export goods, build factories and attractions, and collaborate or compete with other players.

A core part of Rail Nation's gameplay revolves around managing resources and the local and player-driven economy. Over a dozen different goods can be produced, imported and exported. Maintaining production chains and ensuring efficient transport and delivery of both raw and finished products is key.

Rail Nation incorporates both cooperative and competitive multiplayer elements. Players can form alliances to collaborate and trade resources as well as compete for lucrative transport contracts. The game features PvP gameplay in the form of espionage and sabotage actions against rival companies.

With detailed terrain maps based on real-world locations, fully customizable trains, dynamic NPC trade partners, and global rankings and leaderboards, Rail Nation aims to provide players with a authentic and deep railway tycoon experience accessible through any web browser.
