What is SafeStop™?

SafeStopTM is an innovative car safety software developed by SafeStop Technologies. It uses artificial intelligence and sensors to monitor the driver and driving patterns in real-time. If SafeStop detects that the driver is impaired, distracted or unsafe to drive, it can safely bring the vehicle to a stop along the roadside.

SafeStop has multiple onboard sensors that track details like vehicle position, speed, acceleration etc. It also has a driver facing camera and sensors that monitor head and eye movements, reaction times and other metrics to determine if the driver is impaired or distracted. SafeStop uses the latest AI and machine learning algorithms to interpret all this data.

If SafeStop determines the driver is unfit to operate the vehicle safely, it activates the hazard lights and brings the car to a gradual and safe stop on the side of the road. It also unlocks the doors and sends an emergency alert to pre-set contacts. This entire process happens automatically without any driver input needed.

SafeStop's impaired driving detection can identify common causes like alcohol, drugs or extreme fatigue. The distraction detection tracks gaze, eyes closed durations and hand positions to determine if the driver is giving requisite attention to the road. SafeStop works alongside other vehicle safety systems like automatic braking and lane departure warning to provide comprehensive protection.
