What is The Wall Street Journal?

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is a daily newspaper published by Dow Jones & Company that reports on U.S. and international business, political, and financial news. The WSJ is the largest newspaper in the United States by circulation and has a global print and digital readership of over 2.6 million.

The WSJ was first published on July 8, 1889 and has won 37 Pulitzer Prizes through 2015. It has major sections including News, Markets, Opinion, Money & Investing, Life & Arts, and more. The WSJ is especially known for its influential reporting and commentary on global business, financial markets, and politics.

In 2007, News Corp acquired Dow Jones & Company and the WSJ. In 2013, the WSJ expanded with a luxury lifestyle and arts magazine titled WSJ. The WSJ also releases a luxury style magazine WSJ. as well as a magazine supplement for the newspaper called Mansion.

The WSJ offers both print and digital subscription access to its content. As of 2021, the Wall Street Journal has the largest circulation of any newspaper in the United States with more than 2.6 million print and digital subscribers.
