UncensoredDNS: Bypass Internet Censorship

An open-source DNS server that routes DNS requests through uncensored servers to bypass filtering and access blocked websites, helping users reach restricted content.

What is UncensoredDNS?

UncensoredDNS is an open-source Domain Name System (DNS) server designed to circumvent internet censorship and access websites blocked by restrictive governments or internet service providers (ISPs). It works by routing DNS requests through uncensored DNS servers instead of those provided by the ISP.

When you try to access a website, your device first sends a DNS request to convert the domain name (e.g. www.example.com) into an IP address. By default, this request goes through your ISP's DNS servers. UncensoredDNS redirects these requests through public DNS servers not affected by censorship, allowing the DNS resolution to bypass blocking and filtering.

Once the correct IP address is returned by the uncensored DNS server, your device can connect to the website even if it is banned or restricted by your internet provider. This allows users in countries like China, Iran, and Turkey to circumvent state-imposed censorship and access websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Wikipedia.

As an open-source project, UncensoredDNS is free to use and configurable. Developers can host their own UncensoredDNS servers with custom rulesets to bypass country-specific censorship. It uses DNS-over-HTTPS encryption to prevent eavesdropping and content manipulation.
