What is Valheim?

Valheim is an indie survival and exploration game developed by Iron Gate Studio. It takes place in a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology—specifically Norse purgatory. Players take on the role of a slain Viking warrior, tasked by Odin to conquer various biomes and defeat mighty bosses in order to prove themselves worthy of entering Valhalla.

Gameplay consists of standard survival mechanics like crafting weapons and armor, building shelters, farming crops, cooking food, and exploring the environments. However, Valheim also incorporates RPG elements by allowing players to gain experience and level up various attributes and skills. The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to 10 players, allowing for both singleplayer and multiplayer fun.
