What is Wizard of Legend?

Wizard of Legend is a rogue-like 2D indie action game developed and published by Contingent99. The player controls a young wizard who competes in the Chaos Trials, a magical tournament held in the Underground to determine the most powerful wizard. The player battles rival wizards and magical creatures through procedural generated levels and boss fights.

At the start of the game, the player selects one of several wizards, each with their own starting spells and unique traits and stats. As the player progresses, they unlock new spells and relics which can be equipped before runs to customize their playstyle. The core gameplay centers around using spells to defeat enemies in skill-based real-time combat across different elemental types like fire, water, earth and air.

The controls focus on dodging attacks and chaining spells together to defeat groups of enemies and bosses under time pressure. There is also a local co-op mode where two players work together. The hand-drawn pixel art visuals and soundtrack create a magical atmosphere complementing the wizard themes.
