World of Goo: Physics-based puzzle video game

Build bridges, towers, and tunnels with goo balls, aiming to get them to the pipe exit in each level while balancing your creations.

What is World of Goo?

World of Goo is a puzzle video game developed and published by indie studio 2D Boy. First released in 2008, the game is built around the idea of creating structures using balls of goo that obey physics rules. Each level presents the player with a set amount of goo balls that must be used wisely to bridge gaps, build towers, create tunnels, and otherwise traverse the terrain to eventually reach the exit pipe.

The fun and challenge of World of Goo comes from strategically connecting the goo balls together into precarious arrangements that (hopefully) remain standing long enough to get your remaining goo to the goal. It combines elements of physics, construction, logic, and resource management games. The delightful art style and ambient soundtrack further bring the game world to life.

World of Goo garnered critical praise upon launch and is still considered one of the best indie games ever made. Its unique premise executed brilliantly makes it a must-play for any fan of innovative puzzle games. There's nothing quite like seeing your wobbling goo towers improbably reach the end pipe.
