What is Wurm Online?
Wurm Online is a 3D open-world sandbox MMORPG set in a medieval fantasy world. The game has a strong emphasis on player housing, crafting, exploration, and community building.
Players start with limited equipment and skills but can develop their characters over time by building structures, farming crops, crafting items, mining for ore and other materials, and more. There are no character levels in Wurm Online - progress is primarily through improving skills and acquiring resources.
The game world is extremely modifiable, allowing players to reshape the terrain, build settlements, villages and towns, create transport routes like roads and bridges, dig massive tunnel systems, and more. Ownership and borders play an important role, as players can claim plots of land, control access to those areas, and determine local laws and tax rates.
Wurm features a player-driven economy, open PvP for territory control, and in-depth crafting systems that require a variety of equipment, skills, recipes and raw materials. Players must also manage hunger, injuries, diseases, and a range of natural threats.
With an emphasis on emergent gameplay and cooperative building rather than combat and questing, Wurm Online provides a sandbox environment for players to create their own adventures and leave their own unique mark on the world.
