What is Astro Empires?

Astro Empires is a free-to-play, browser-based Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) space strategy game developed and published by Cybertopia Studios. Players take control of an interstellar empire with the goal of conquering the entire galaxy.

At the start of the game, players colonize their home planet and begin constructing various buildings like mines, factories, and research labs to generate resources and advance their technology. As the empire grows, players can colonize other nearby planets to acquire additional resources and living space.

A key part of Astro Empires' gameplay focuses on resource management and strategic decision making. Players must balance generating resources like minerals, food, and credits through their colonies while allocating funds to research new technologies, construct defensive structures and additional fleets, and explore new solar systems. Proper management of an empire's budget and priorities is crucial.

Combat in Astro Empires occurs when empires send fleets containing different warship types like fighters, bombers, frigates, cruisers, battleships and more to attack enemy planets and fleets. Tactical positioning and use of long-range vessels provides advantages in battle. Players can team up with allies to launch coordinated strikes against mutual enemies.

The game features both Player vs Environment challenges in competing against AI empires, as well as Player vs Player matches across huge galaxies with thousands of other human players. The ultimate goal is to conquer all rival empires through strategic gameplay and economic management to rule the Astro Empires universe.
